Hello! I can blog now!

Hi everybody. Today I met with Hansina and Mark who are also here in Sevastopol, and thanks to Hansina, she showed me the blogger app that I needed to download in order to make my posts while I'm here in the Ukraine!

Today we had a day off from visiting Jonathan at the orphanage, as our driver usually gets Sundays off. So we will visit the little guy tomorrow.

I want to say happy father's day to my father, my husband and any other dad that may be reading this blog post!

Our official court date is June 22nd. We will likely be here until July 14th or so. That will make for 40 days, the number of completion!

I'll be praying that the judge does not read this website: theadoptionspotlight.wordpress.com or rebeccajmarinecorpswife.blogspot.com because it would be so awful if people and "ministries" that break the law by photolisting kids in Ukraine illegally impact your ability to bring your beautiful boy home!!!

I'll also pray that your judge isn't aware of godly Christian folks who fell in love with a photo of a sweet child on RR and then disrupted (autumn winkle got rid of Yuri a few months after adopting him, Tom Reilly disrupted victor so as to adopt 2 cuter lower maintenance kids from Ethiopia). It would be awful if the judge knew that several godly Christian RR families who already had kids with SN (autumns bio son Caius Has DS) passed a homestudy and tons of security clearances (just like you!!!) promised to care for the new Ukrainian kid forever but soon decide " too much work!! I'll just dump the new boy)!!!!!

Yay!!!! I am soooo happy to see your blog working!!! Your little guy is absolutely precious!!!! :D I cannot find you on facebook, so I have been unable to follow you guys so I am so excited you can blog again! Just ignore the trolls, do not let them discourage you one bit, just remember that if the devil is attacking you in some way it must be because you are doing something that is pleasing to God, and the devil wants it to stop. Praying for you guys!!

Our Adoption Timeline

1/25 - E-mailed Reece's Rainbow about "Evan" phoned for info through 1800homestudy.com.

2/2 - Telephone interview with Carla and Vicky with About A Child.

2/16 - Paid for marriage license certificate copies.

2/17 - Veronica is fingerprinted, $2000 adoption agency fee paid to be officially "matched" with Evan!

2/19 - Our first homestudy appointment - their $1500 fee paid.

2/22 - James is fingerprinted.

2/23 - Reece's Rainbow application notarized/scanned/e-mailed; Fingerprint application notarized; Mailed out the $250 love gift and $25 for the Family Sponsor Program through Reece's Rainbow; Homestudy paperwork complete: SAFE forms, DSHS forms; Marriage License copies came in the mail today; Start adoption education.

2/24 - Veronica's physical form ready from Dr's office, and HR employment verification.

2/26 - We're live and matched on the Reece's Rainbow website!

3/2 - James had his Dr's appointment for the homestudy.

3/19 - More notarizing- birth certificate request form mailed. (Received 4/24)

3/21- Resumitted the FBI payment form...

3/24- Very large and encouraging yard sale donation from a co-worker! Thank you so much!

3/31- Lots of homestudy paperwork turned in!

4/26- Finished all adoption education.

5/8- Giveaway winner announced for $250 cash on blog post.

6/30- Last form turned in to finish homestudy!

8/8- Homestudy report sent off to copy editor.

8/22- Homestudy report in for our approval.

9/9- Notarized Final Homestudy came in the mail.

9/16- Mailed out USCIS I-600A Form with $890 payment that includes the cost of the Federal Fingerprinting.

9/19- USCIS receipt date

11/14- Realized a little "hiccup" that is delaying our USCIS approval. Will send to them missing info today and hope to get our fingerprint date soon!

12/22- James Lab for Dossier

1/3- Veronica Doctor and Labs for Dossier; Washington State Police Background Report run and notary fees paid.

1/11- James 2nd Doctor visit with more labs

1/12- Washington State Police Clearances in!

1/13- Apostilled Marriage Certificates came in the mail from Nevada!

1/19- Received Veronica's employment verification

1/25- Notarized health verification forms in for both of us

1/26- Biometric Fingerprinting done

2/6- USCIS approval

2/9- Residence verification paperwork done

2/20- Homestudy update arrived in the mail! James' work verification done.

2/22- Notarize of the dossier paperwork.

2/29- More notary

3/5- Rental verification in, last notary done

3/6- Dossier in mail for SOS for the apostille, along with check for $375

3/10- Apostilled dossier in the hands of our adoption agency to be sent out to the Ukraine!

3/19- Dossier in the Ukraine now. Western Union $600 for translation fees.

4/3- Mailed "fixed" dossier paperwork to the Ukraine. (Only 1 document needed a new $15 apostille. Not too bad!) Global Express guarantees the documents should be there on this date! $100 even for G.E.

4/12- Dossier to be officially submitted to the Ukraine SDA

5/20- Got our appointment date: June 5th! (Evan's 4th Birthday!)

5/21- Arranging lodging, plane tickets, grant $ transfer

5/4- To arrive in Kiev, Ukraine

5/5- Appointment date to get referral
